We're not a safety consultancy that's read about construction. We've worked at every level of it, and you'll speak to one of us from enquiry to issue.
A Tier 1 contracts manager with 30 years in construction, who worked his way up from labourer through supervisor, site manager, site agent and project manager. Has delivered work for some of the biggest Tier 1 contractors in the UK, as well as Tier 2 and Tier 3 firms, across highways, infrastructure and most other sectors.
30 years in construction and lifting. An Appointed Person who has operated tower cranes himself, slung and signalled loads, and supervised lifts before planning them. He plans lifts from telehandlers to mobile, crawler and tower cranes, and has run sites as a manager too.
Our lift plans are fixed price by type of lift: £195 for a basic excavator, telehandler or lorry loader lift, £350 for a standard single mobile crane lift and £750 for a complex lift such as tandem, blind or crawler crane lifts. All prices exclude VAT. Tower crane and programme work is set up as one order after a short call.
Under LOLER every lift must be properly planned by a competent person. For crane lifts, BS 7121 expects an Appointed Person to plan the lift and take responsibility for it. Our lift plans are prepared and signed by a CPCS A61 Appointed Person who also holds an NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Controlling Lifting Operations (Planning Lifts) and has operated tower cranes himself.
RAMS for a single activity are £150 ex VAT. Each extra activity is £55, and high-risk activities such as deep excavations, work at height or live traffic add £50. Repeat updates for an existing client are £85.
Standard issue is 2–3 working days from receiving your job details. Priority next-working-day issue is available at checkout, and same-day is possible for simple jobs by agreement.
If your document comes back with comments or a request for more information, the first review and update is free. Further rounds are priced and agreed with you first, unless the comment is down to our mistake, which we always fix free. Changes to the method, plant or scope after issue are priced separately and agreed with you first.
Under CDM 2015 every construction project needs a construction phase plan before work starts, drawn up by the principal contractor, or by the contractor where there is only one. It has to reflect the actual job, not a generic template. Our CPPs are £195 for minor works and £475 for full multi-trade or notifiable projects up to about £2.5m, ex VAT.
Yes. Excavations, drainage, ducting, kerbing, surfacing, highways works, temporary works interfaces and plant operations are all work we've run on site ourselves.

Tower cranes, whole-phase RAMS, AP appointments or anything that doesn't fit a box above. Tell us about it and we'll set it up as one fixed-price order.
